I'm using the standard file method, and I've even using the ramdisk as directed:
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
/dev/shm/mychat
Yet if I have more than 18 users in chat, everything on the server lags to hell, today I experienced 25 users in the chat... not something I ever care to experience again.
# 2 Often, more so when there are more users in chat, when a user times out from chat, the focus of the window people are chatting in is automatically switched back to the main chat room... This is very bad, if people are chatting in a PM to someone else, or in another room entirely... hell, if they leave the main room, and are only chatting in the other room, they are *STILL* yanked back into the default room...
My users love the chat, except for these issues, which if they were fixed and all was great in the world, I would be happy to keep using instead of being on the hunt again for another chat application that works well with firewalls and all that jazz...
