chat alert system

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone knows of a good app -or- widget where as webmaster I can be alerted to changes in chat and also users can be alerted when someone is in chat? Like an alert system when someone logs in when they are not directly monitoring the page? I am on a Mac but would interested in something Windows as well. Thanks!
