hi

I am running phpfreechat for my website.

we did a test the other day, it spit out the "xxx quits. (timeout)" message like every minute even though the person is still online.

I increased the "timeout" value in the parameter list but it still ocassionally spits out the same message. also, this creates another problem which is people appear online long after they are actually logged off

I'm wondering if there is a way i can get rid of the timeout notice?

thank you

The problem is that it occurs very rarely on my computer... But many users seems to get the message "You must be connected to send a message" very frequently, and they have to refresh the page to talk again... I'm trying to collect some infos from them (browser version & settings, connection speed, computer specs, and so on) but I can't notice anything common to all the people having this problem...

Just a suggestion from a no-coder, so just ignore it if it's useless: Wouldn't it be possible that the system checks user and session and login again automatically instead of sending the message "you must login to send a message" ?

Has this problem been resolved? I was hoping an upgrade to 1.1 would eliminate it, but I'm still getting that message. Ideas?

I'd like to take some time to fix this bug, but what I really need is a way to reproduce the bug systematically.

Kerphi, it's not happening in the demo room, and I have no idea how you can reproduce this. The only thing I can say is that I wasn't having the error on my dev environment (laptop) but the same code on production is timing out.

Thank you for all these details. As I cannot reproduce the bug myself, currently I cannot investigate, but please don't stop your reports.
