didn\'t setup correctly the server directories rights

Hello There,
i've installed freechat, but i get the message:
"didn't setup correctly the server directories rights"

Strangely enough it doesn't resolve when i change the directory rights of data/public and data/private to 777 or 755...
Anyone another sollution?
