User Registration and Login Required

This is an addition to help you create a user registration and login system.

This uses Smarty templates and Adodb classes for website management. I find them alot easier to use then putting all of the html into the php files. This uses the current version of PhpFreeChat 1.0-release 8.

To use this. Please download from here

Unzip and upload into the directory you plan on using.

The three files you will have to configure are:

includes/config.php
chat.php
signup.server.php

They are fairly important since if you do not do this then your users will not be able to register.
You will also need to chmod the data directory as appropriate per PhpFreeChat and the templates_c directory for chmod 777

Your mysql settings will be set in the config.php file in the includes directory.

Once you set up your database you can use the following sql to create the tables.

UPDATE:

Updated the link to the file. Keep in mind this has not been updated to the latest phpfreechat, adodb and smarty code. You may want to update those. I will eventually update it so that it works with the latest but for now I'm just going to reestablish the link for those who want to download the file.

Hello Dannic,

-I've download, Unzip & upload into the server directory
-I've configured:includes/config.php+chat.php+signup.server.php
-I've create the tables

Some how I succeed to registering, but the access to chat.php...
Error: 'customize.js' could not be found, please check your themepath '/home/thebroke/public_html/test/themes' and your theme 'default' are correct

that themepath is wrong and it should be like that:
'/home/a-z-a/public_html/balans/phpfreechat/themes'

Can you please help me with:
1-Where do I correct those errors?
2-Can you send the sql table: 'table', too?

Can you please help me with some other things?
1-We want to limit the conversation for only registered members
2-bond between registered only with girl that available in our dB
3.Gives a limit in time or in conversations amount

You want people to be able to view the chat but not be able to participate unless they meet a certain criteria?

Not sure what you mean by bond.

Sounds like you need someone to do something that is beyond the scope of what I was trying to do with this contribution. I am willing to do that but we will need to discuss this a bit more through pm.

We have customer that have a match making site. see that link:

He is interested that only registered members that pay for that, will be able to discuss with a girl which he interests

All the girls are stored in MySql dB inside one table. and we want To execute an interconnection of the members, chat tables with the exists girl table....

Oh no. I can't get it to work. It works for a while and then goes all screwy. I have tried deleting everything in the data/public and data/private folders.

Okay. After a complete re-install, it is finally working! Wonderfully, too. But I have a question:

I want the chat to be locked on all other days and times except Thursday from 7:00PM and 9:00PM, and it needs to go by the server's time & not the user's clock.

Any ideas how to do this/integrate it?

Depending on the server date, you should setup the islocked and lock_url parameters.

Updated the link to the files. I'll try to get around to actually updating the script but I wouldn't look at it being any time soon. Trying to get my webhosting started. If anyone is interested let me know.
