I would like to have a command, with users can change rooms while they are chatting

I think they can do that by setting the parameter for channel as $_GET['channel']
All you need to provide is a link to your phpfreechat with appended querystring channel and the repsective channel name for it.

Correct me if I'm wrong

I think bsemf spoke about a "/join #channel" command like on IRC.

The /join command will be implemented in 1.0.
