Hello everybody,

I have installed the chat but I can't run private messages, because the Nick list box in the right doesn't show the nick of the other users that are connected to the chat, the list box only shows the nick of the current user, others are empty, only the gif icon is showed (user.gif).

Can you help me ?

My installation:

$parm["serverid"] = md5(__FILE__);
$parm["nick"] = $nicki; // it can be useful to take nicks from a database
$parm["isadmin"] = true;
$parm["debug"] = true;
$parm["title"] = "Chat";
$parm["refresh_delay"] = 2000;
$parm['max_msg'] = 0;

V: 1.0-beta11

Very strange, could you post a public link to your chat installation ?

Hello !, I can't post a URL, because I don't have it, my test is in a local machine.

Another problem: when I send a message to the default channel (My Room), the chat's screen is not refreshed ..... all messages I send with different users to this channel are not showed (chat's area is always blank).

Javascript's console shows there is an error "$A is not defined" (prototype.js):

Function.prototype.bind = function() {
var __method = this, args = $A(arguments), object = args.shift();
return function() {
return __method.apply(object, args.concat($A(arguments)));
}
}

Thks+ !!!

(another user: ..... excuse me for my bad english :-D )

I have tried with firefox 2.0.0.6 and with IE7, in both cases the chat's screen is not refreshed when I send a message. Maybe a problem with Ajax or with the js library? or HTML Problem ? (The js timeout to refresh the screen is already up, I can see the ajax request to refresh the screen with the JS alert function).

This is the debug that is printed in the chat, before this output, I'm logged as user "Pau" in firefox browser, next, I open a IE7 Browser and I try to connect as user "Admin", this is the debug output:

6.- sendRequest: /whois2 "a34622a140957a67157150b3a4388604"

5.- handleResponse: who2-ok-# <Hash:{'chan': 'ch_My room', 'chanid': '1ddda23671eca3741943c437fda28047', 'meta': # <Hash:{'users': # <Hash:{'nick': ['admin', 'pau'], 'nickid': ['32832e1bcffbb355748a26299a29fcb7', 'a34622a140957a67157150b3a4388604']}>}>}>

4.- handleResponse: connect-ok-admin

3.- handleResponse: join-ok-['1ddda23671eca3741943c437fda28047', 'My room']

2.- handleResponse: nick-notchanged-admin

1.- sendRequest: /connect "admin"

It would be that the chat "dies" in the step number 6 ... after this step, the chat doesn't have a handleResponse (so, the nickname of the user "Pau" is never showed in the Admin's chat).

I continue testing ....

Thks+ !!
