PHP 5.5

Hello,
We are using phpfreechat v 1.0 for ages now

Our server went from PHP 5.3 to PHP 5.5 and nothing is working anymore

Should we upgrade to v2.x?

Yes pfc v2 should be compatible with php 5.5 but 1.x will never be compatible with this version.
I think you should consider to upgrade to PFC v2.

preg_replace is deprecated modifier /e in php 5.5, use preg_replace_callback() instead.

Note: src/pfcurlprocessing.php eliminate e modifier, is deprecated.
