Setup Information

I have set up a chat room on my site using the index.php in the phpfreechat-1.0-beta9 directory. Could you just please tell me how i can use the demo15_multiple_channel.php and replace the index.php that i am using. Do i simply copy/paste some of the code from demo15_multiple_channel.php into index.php, or what. Please help with some basic instructions if possible and what file, or files to use doing this. If this will take up too much of your time, then can you tell me how to simply get more smileys as in demo15_multiple_channel.php to my chat room. Thank you in advance for any and all your help. I have uploaded phpfreechat-1.0-beta9 as well as the same phpfreechat-1.0-beta9 that i am using for my chat room. Now, the one i use is index.php. The second one in a different directory has had the themes/default/smileys altered with all smileys and all themes files put into one theme. When i load up the phpfreechat-1.0-beta9/demo pages on the net, i get all smileys at the bottom of every demo page. Altering the smileys in the one i use for chat to the same, still gets a single row of default smileys. Can anyone tell me why it works in the one i am testing on and not the one i use in index.php. even the demo's in the one i use regularly only have one row of standard smileys. Any ideas ?.

I have solved the Smileys problem by simply typing in the command /rehash in the chat room. Thanks for the information. It really does pay to read, read, and read some more in faq.

Here is my smiley list on my site. Some had to be altered because they came out as words or conflicted with others, but they all work fine now. Of course all had to be collected from varoius smiley folders and put in themes/default/smileys folder and then the chat room rehashed. Great.
