http://dragger.110mb.com/phpfreechat-1. ... /index.php

Error: 'smileys/theme' could not be found, please check your themepath '/www/110mb.com/d/r/a/g/g/e/r/_/dragger/htdocs/phpfreechat-1.0-beta9/themes' and your theme 'default' are correct

(they appear to be in terms of presence and tree position)

Boy was I wrong. It was not until I went to upload

http://.../themes/default/smileys/debug.php

-- so i could see a SCRIPT_FILENAME from that directory

that I noticed that themes was NOT there .... seems 110mb.com doesn't like filenames without extensions, and as the archive extracted @ the server when I installed, all theme files, and probably anything else without an extension was sent to the bit bucket.

So I renamed to theme.txt, uploaded, and renamed again.

Then the fun started. First, sorry for ever doubting you Stephane.

The chat did start to load. I was SO happy. Then it blew up, real bad - heheh

Here's is the error report that I had to kill the process just to turn off the browser:
http://dragger.110mb.com/navigate/Screenshot.html

Now I have to go to the 110mb forum, and see if they'll let me stay.

For now, index.php is index.html

Anybody know any free hosting that will let me run this monster?
I'm having fun!

110.com seams to use strange filesystem... file_exists, file_get_contents ... function doesn't work as expected...
Maybe try the mysql container which doesn't uses file access.

I was thinking the same thing > mysql

and when I provide them with proof of Id,
they'll enable sendmail , safe mode OFF & register global ON...

above not required. demo 55 works.

thanks Stephane :-D

110mb.com is now rigorously enforcing no filenames without extensions.
At 110mb.com, it is far easier to run with mysql than wait for fopen permission.

I think these are all files without extensions in beta 9:

$ find . -type f ! -name '*.*'
./themes/cerutti/smileys/theme
./themes/phoenity/smileys/theme
./themes/default/smileys/theme
./themes/msn/smileys/theme
./themes/phpbb2/smileys/theme
./AUTHORS
./version
./misc/checkmd5
./misc/tarSource
./misc/sendSource
./lib/csstidy-1.2/COPYING
./lib/csstidy-1.2/README
./lib/pear/pearrc
./lib/json/LICENSE
./COPYING

The one's that need to be renamed are all named "theme" and one named "version".

Then of course it is required to edit those php files that call those theme and version files.

src/pfcglobalconfig.class.php
@ lines 452 and 469

src/commands/version.class.php
@ line 7

sorry it took me so long. As far as I know, you edited or renamed every file I mentioned. I have not encountered any more errors because of filenames.
