Macintosh user cannot chat

I have had 2 different Macintosh users connect to my site (v 0.7). They could type their message but it would not post in the chat area. I had them try the demo on this web site and same problem. I then had them try on a Windows machine and they could chat fine. Is this a problem with Macintosh or is that a coincidence?

Can anybody with a Mac try the demo on this site and let me know if they could chat? http://www.phpfreechat.net/demo.en.php

That's strange... which version of mac os did they use ? Because I try pfc with mac os x 10.4.* with Safari and FF and it works fine !!! I will retest it this week end...

I tested phpfreechat with Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Konqueror.
Konqueror engine is almost the same as Safari (the default MacOSX browser) so it should work on Safari too, so I guest you use an other browser ?

Camino and Safari work fine for me, but Mac IE 5.2x doesn't, i am trying to track down a browser that will work on OSx 10.0 - OSx 10.2.x that is compatible

I have tried iCab but i get a bizzarre problem (possibly javascript) in that everything displays fine except the chat window stays blank,
I type a message then press enter
The screen stays blank and the message doesn't dissappear from the entry box,
but the message is actually sent and can be viewed by other chat users
but for the icab user, nothing is visible in the chat section

I'm using a MAX 10.4.8 and I cannot use your demo (or my installation of PHPFreeChat).

- It works OK on OPERA 9.10

- at the 'please enter your nickname' prompt on SAFARI 2.0.4, the characters I type are shown on 'send' line which is greyed out. So I cannot type whithin the the nickname text box (I've tried to double click, click, cut & paste, etc.)

- Same as above using Firefox 2.0.0.1

(I am talking about current demo which is 1.0-beta9)

Any idea ?

This is a known bug that I will fix soon.

This is a known bug that I will fix soon.

Fixed in 972 revision.
I will release the beta10 in a few days to fix this problem.
