Hi,

There is a bug with your Chat script : when you want to identify with
Internet Explorer 7 you cant because the login form is automatically blocked...

Please could you post your chat link ?
Does it occurs on the official demo ?
As I don't have IE7, maybe some screenshot could help me to understand the problem.

I have sort of the same problem with IE7, cause it blocks the pop up login box. I have to allow pop ups in order to log in.

Will this problem with login windows popup is blocked in IE7 be fixed in the next release?

Here is some more information about it:
http://www.hunlock.com/blogs/Working_ar ... er_feature

It looks like Microsoft have decided to block the javascript prompt command. So any windows scripting prompting for information is now blocked in IE7.

Perhaps creating a login screen would solve the problem.

I'm eagerly waiting for a fix.

This weekend, I worked on this problem.
I developed (inspirated by the above link) a DHTML popup to replace the default prompt() javascript function.
This fix is available in 965 revision.

I hope this will fix the problem.

Hi Stephane,

I was very happy to see your fix for this prompt problem with IE7.
I upgraded to the latest beta release. The page I'm using phpfreechat on has video that plays as soon as the page loads. Unfortunately the login prompt is somehow behind the video stream.
Here's the link to show you what I'm talking about: http://www.idostream.com/wedding_demo.php

Is there a way for me to control the placement of the DHTML login prompt in the IE window?

Thanks,

Phil

Yes, update to the lastest trunk (in the subversion) version, it fixes the prompt popup position.

I'm not sure if this is related to the new DHTML login prompt, but when loading chat using Firefox, it takes a very long time for the chat window to come up.

I tried Firefox on the demo page and it works fine. My page has video playing so I think it's related to the video being played interferring with the loading of PHPfreechat.

Any ideas?
