Hi,
i'm the developer of a live audio/video streaming server made to run on classic webhosting (PHP and CGI only required) named PicoStreamer ( http://www.vinz486.com ).

Looking at my users experience, i noticed that every radio station need a chat, so listeners can talk in realtime with dj's.

Tricky users install a chat in their website, like this chat, and tell to listeners the url of chat room.

My idea is to integrate this very well done chat in my software.

The main feature that i like, a part the very clean user interface and usability, is the fact that phpFreeChat don't require any SQL db, same as my software.

I would "strongly" integrate this chat into my software, so user can use a single web interface to both listen stream and chat.

A part the obviuous credits and link to this project, what else I must do to make license compliant with my idea?

I'm not expert about licenses and i worried about the fact that my software is under GPL, but phpFreeChat is under LGPL.

Can I start to develop my idea?

Yes as long as you leave the logo/backlink in your chat, you can do what you want even if your software is GPL or commercial (see http://www.phpfreechat.net/license.en.html)

So yes you can start developping your idea :)
