Slow Connecting to Chat in IE

Hello,

I just upgraded from 0.9.3 to 1.0-beta8 and I like the functions it offers. Great job team. However, I have noticed it takes about 30-40 seconds to connect to the chat when the page is loaded and when it does connect, the viewing does not start at the last post; the chat is scrolled up to the middle. e.g. once I connect to the chat, if there is a list of posts in there, my view is moved to the middle of the posts so if I post something, I don't see it unless I scroll down. This only seems to happen in IE; in Firefox I connect in a couple seconds and it shows the last post. If anyone has any suggestions to speed up the connection and placement of posts after connection, I would love to hear about it. Thanks.

I tested it with my friend and she uses Opera latest version and complains the screen would not autoscroll to the last entry on its own as she typed or when I send my msg. But when we use IE v6 and FireFox v2, everything works fine.
