Hi all,

I am experiencing some issues with Firefox (doesn't seem to be linked to a specific version).

Users who are using Firefox can chat normally, and suddently, the main chat window is not updated anymore. They can continue writing messages but it doesn't appear in the main chat window. Note that the other users connected to the chat can see these messages.

To sum up, the main chat window is like "freezed". You are still connected but you don't receive any update.

Do you have an idea where it could come from ? Please note that this problem doesn't seem to happen with Internet Explorer.

The last one : beta 7.

By the way, I just had a new problem : I have two members of my chat whose name doesn't appear. I just can see the two images, but without any name associated.

I am going to make my "timeout" value higher. Maybee it's linked ? Because a lot of users are complaining about timeouting too often.

Hi, and sorry to insist on this "freezing" problem. I just saw this post (http://www.phpfreechat.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=700) about max_refresh_delay. Do you think my problem can be linked to this one ?

One more question : Do you think that apache2 thread configuration can make things better, especially for the following values :
KeepAlive On
MaxKeepAliveRequests 100 (Make this one bigger ?)
KeepAliveTimeout 5 (Make this one bigger ?)

Finally, my "output_buffering" is on in my PhP configuration. Can it be bad for PFC ?

Once upon a time, sorry for all this question, I am just trying to dig where the problem could come from :D

Yes, it'c certainly linked. Maybe try with the 1.0-beta8-pre :
http://www.phpfreechat.net/demo/pfc-1.x ... pre.tar.gz
http://www.phpfreechat.net/demo/pfc-1.x ... a8-pre.zip

Moreover, are you able to reproduce the problem on the official demo room ?

Thank you for your answear ! Gonna try this right now, I'll keep you informed of the results.
For the "ghosts" problem (users without any name, just the image) do you have an idea where it coulld come from ?

By the way, I am going to increase my KeepAliveTimeout / MaxKeepAliveRequests values. Maybee it will improve things.

Thank you Kerphi.

If it can helps you for debugging this Ghost problem : the users whose name is not appearing are still connected to the chat.
They can see the messages, and they can even post messages (and everybody will see their messages). They also see themselves in the list.

They are like "invisible" for the others in the list of connected people (if we forget about the image, which is still displayed), but they see themselves and can continue chating normally.

Hope it will help.

This version seems to work much better ! I didn't have any more freezing problem yet. Moreover, I don't have any ghost. So far so good !

I just keep having members who are disconnected (timeout) without any reason, but maybee it's linked to their connection. My timeout value is alread 50s, I guess I cannot raise it higher !

Anyway, this new pre version seems to fix my problems, thank you very much !
