handling Shift enter and enter in different way

I have to submit the chat when pressing enter key. But go to a new line when pressing shift+ enter.
I had write code to trap Enter key press using scan code.And chat is submitting when pressing enter.But the function works when pressing shift+ enter also

Currently, pfc doesn't support multilines in posted messages.
What is your problem ?

I want to send chat message when clicking Enter key. and go to a new line on pressing shift+enter or control+enter. Could you help me.

I'd like to help you but did you understand what I said ?
I said that currently phpfreechat doesn't support multi-lines. As there is no possibilities to have multi-lines, there is no possibilities to create a new lines.

i am doing another chat project where in asp.net and ajax where i want to implement it.Do you have any idea how we can write code for it.Now i am sending chat message by pressing enter key by checking keycode==13.But if i do so shift+enter will also send chat message.
