I'm new to this software, and not a programmer, but I'm stumbling through and have it installed, working, and (sort of) customized.

Are there any "plain English" instructions geared to non-programmers (ie those who aren't computer experts but want to use this on their site) already out there? If not, I'm going to try to write up a set. (I write program tutorials for a living for embroidery software.) I need to write up user instructions anyway for people using the chat software on one of my websites anyway, so doing one for the admin end wouldn't be that much more difficult.

Thanks,
Lesli.

Okay, I've got a starter "intro" user's guide up on my website. (It's up there because I'll need to be updating it frequently as I make changes, learn more, etc. Eventually when I get enough together I'll send it to the programmers and they can post it here for downloads.) It's free, but donations appreciated. *LOL* You can also click on the Notifications box on the page for it, and my server will email you when I make updates to the item.

The website is: http://www.madmumbler.net/main/shop

Click the Other Software Tutorials category.

You'll see it there. It's written in plain English for non-programmers. If you find errors, please email me privately and NICELY. 26 pages, zipped .pdf file. It covers the basics from installing the software to basic overview, basic customization, and tweaking settings. I wrote it from the standpoint of if I'd had this info when I started playing with the software, it would have saved me a few days of playing with it and streamlined me into just a couple of hours from installation to working chat. It does not cover advanced command creation or customization.

I don't spam, so don't be a weasel and put in fake info, okay? *LOL* If you want to be able to get help downloading the file in case you have problems, you'll have to have a real email address in there for access.

BTW, have you all donated to the software programmers who wrote the software and answer your questions...hmmm?? I just did. I challenge everyone who's using this software to go and chip in at LEAST $10. That's giving up two fancy coffees or two lunches at McDonald's. It'll make them happy and inspire them to keep working on it and not let it drift into a cyber-cemetery.

It's like voting -- if you don't vote you can't complain. If you don't chip in and donate, you have no right to whine about the software or beg for help.

Thanks!
