Hello and thank you for this free chat

I am hosted on godaddy... windows. Everytime I try to Chmod 7xx it says "it may not be supported on remote site..." what it means?

what can I do with public and private datas folders?

I have a free hosting with godaddy... is that the reason? If so, I can use other domain, but I want to know for sure, I dont want to start from scratch again.

Thank you again :D

Being a member of godaddy.com myself I know that you must have your operating system set to linux in order to run php scripts from your website. You can change it in the hosting account options. it takes 24 hours for them to switch it over.

starting from the very begining

type in godaddy.com into your webbrowser

click on Hosting & Servers and select "My Hosting Account"

enter your login information

after you log in it will display a list of all your registered domains.
instead of clicking on the control panel link, click on your domain name example "mysite.com"

it will load the same screen but on the right hand side scroll down until you see the Operation system option. click on change and select Linux.

save changes and that will let you run php scripts.

remember though it takes them around 24 hours to make the changes.

hope it helps
