Fresh install, chat wont load

I played with Crafz's .htaccess and found that it doesn't like a "Options -MultiViews" part.
Now his chat works.

Got another issue now, some weird graphic bug with displaying the users:

Figured out that my css file is causing this. Any tips for implementation of css? Because if setting parameters for tags like <ul> and <li> really shouldn't break the chat.

Edit: Sorry, my fault. Shouldn't just have declared default rule for these elements. Instead:

What exactly is the trouble? And it is really helpful if you guys can make sure that mod_rewrite is enabled in your apache.

First of all: Thank you for developing phpfreechat. It looks great and I am looking forward to including it into my webpage because it is exactly what I was looking for.

However after installing the chat I encounter the same problem: The example chats load just fine but I am not able to login.
Every time I click on login I am redirected to the login page again.

The php-Version running on the Server is 5.3.17

The access-rights to /server/data/ is set correctly to 777

mod_rewrite is working, however I had to delete

Options –MultiViews

from /server/.htaccess because this line cause a 500 Internal Server Error.

I also added

RewriteBase /server/

just to be sure the path works fine.

If I try to access /server/auth with my browser, I get a 403 error msg:
“You don't have permission to access /server/auth on this server.”

Any idea?

Hmm - my problem seems to be difficult to answer. Oh well, I installed the Chat Version 1 and it works fine for me.
