initial install Unknown error and chat never loads

I've installed this chat on several different sites before and not had any issues like this. I have no idea where to look or what to do at this point. My knowledge base isn't that great but a I know a bit, this how ever has me stumped. I've even loaded the exact same chat onto a different website and it worked. Both the php.ini files are identical on both sites but one site works and the other I get this error. Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated.

From what I have seen through other chat servers, I'm trying to implement one right now, changing session_start, to session_save_path. The PHP page http://php.net/manual/en/function.session-save-path.php will explain a bit further. It looks like you don't have permissions to /tmp file. If you are on a remote server, ie renting a server. You may either need to ask for permission to that folder, which is unlikely, or do what I did and create a tmp file somewhere you have the appropriate permissions. Hopefully this helps. Looks like it's been a while since you posted, hopefully the issue I'm having doesn't take as long for a response.
