Hi,

We have used this chat script on a website, and it works great.

However, lately a user is hijacking the chat and posting a lot of empty messages to clear up the screen, and then posting a 'This chat room is permanently closed!'. This is scaring off users. Is there any way to block such actions, and any way I can know the IP address of the user?

Hi,

I have updated to the latest version, but again this is a user-initiated thing so I didn't expect it to solve the problem - how would it? This is a public chat and anyone can enter and post these stupid messages that the chat room is closed.

Is there any way I can ban users by IPs? Can I limit user access to a certain IP range, and/or can I limit users by geo-ip, like only users from our country?

Regards,
