filemtime php function is not usable

Hello!
i was installed PhpFreeChat on my free web site and give this error.

phpFreeChat cannot be initialized, please correct these errors:

* filemtime php fuction is not usable on your filesystem. Please do not use the 'file' container (try the 'mysql' container) or swith to another filesystem type.

i was searched in google but i have found anything.

Im pretty sure this means the data folder was not writable and if you can't make it writable you will need to use the mysql container
