Integration with PunBB not working for punbb1.3.1

I hv installed latest phpFreeChat and punBB 1.3.1.

I have configured the script as per FAQ instruction but getting the user from punBB cookie still is not working.

Below are my findings;

1. check_cookie function is no longer available in punBB 1.3.1 functions
2. cannot populate the punbb cookie due to this

Need help and we need some advice on the improvement code for this.
