What hosting do you use for your PHP Free Chat? What provider? What plan?
I want to use cheap shared hosting, but I am afraid that provider will block my chat because of high CPU resources consumption. Number of users are planned small(<10). Can you recommend me cheap plan and provider who does not block PHP Free Chat?

If you're going to have less than 10 users, you're not in much danger with any major provider. I use dreamhost, they can be a little expensive to do set up with (make sure you search for coupons, there are a ton of very good ones), but you get ridiculous amounts of space and transfer. I've had no issues with them. :)

Let me know if you want a referal coupon. I'm not sure if the deal I could get would be better or worse than googling, but it's worth a look. :)

I use 1and1. Only down side is that they don't allow MySQL databases to be used with chat programs.

I am using dreamhost, but phpfreechat seems to be broken. Status messages don't appear. When I type in /identify <password> Nothing happens. I can't login as admin.

I installed phpfreechat on a different server using the same $params values, and everything works fine. I can login and notifications are displayed for instance when I type /help.

Also on the dreamhost instance, the sound doesn't work. When I create a new channel, the window shows up but I can't send a msg to the new channel. When I type a messages and click send, nothing happens.

I turned off the Extra Security in the dreamhost panel.

Any ideas why it doesn't work on Dreamhost?

It appears on that any /command doesn't work while on Dreamhost. What is happening internally when a command is run?

Got a link I can just take a look at? Also, if you could set me up with a fake admin combo (test/test is fine), I'll take a look.
