I've got to be honest, your first problem is extremely unclear. Telling us "I'm having a problem with private messages" is like calling an electrician and saying "I'm have an electricity problem"... he's going to need a bit more information. What problem are you having? What errors are you seeing? What is the content of you chat file? Can we see a link?

As for the demo 34 issue... that's what it's supposed to do. I'm not sure why you see it as a problem, the purpose is to open a google search on that nick name.
