Hello,
I am a novice user of PHP. I know a very little of php coding.
I opened a chat room on my server running on apache.
I installed phpfreechat 1.0 beta 9. Its running fine on my server.
Now i want to change the theme & remove the left & top green banner & options menu.
I just want to keep the chat box on the page under a image.
The theme blune is ok for me. How can i activate this theme??
The theme link is "http://www.phpfreechat.net/demo/pfc-1.x/demo/demo28_blune_theme.php"

Theres a source cde under the chat box. Where should i paste the code?? In which file i dont understand.

I made a new php page with code & replaced with index.php
But when I opened with the link no page is displayed.

Please any one send me a step by step guide line for setting up the chat room.

The Blune theme requires nick name before entering the chat I want that.

One more thing is that how can i set up the word filter??

& plz let me know the methods of updating emoticons.

Please reply me as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance

Ooops, that's a lot of basics.... I suggest you study the topics under the "documentation" section of this website first.

The green banners you refer to (similar to this site) appear because you linked to the index.php in the chat directory: that is a demo webpage with a little bit more than just the script.

You should base yourself on one of the demo's in the demo folder.
Study those demo's to learn how to set parameter's like the theme you want to use ($param["theme"] = "blune", for instance. )

The code printed out underneath the chat is there for illustration purpose, you should remove it. You don't need to be php-savvy, just setting parameters in the script is enough to get it to work, and maybe some css to adjust.

Good luck
