Installation problems !

I'm probably being really dumb here but I've uploaded the phpfreechat directory to my site root but then what do I do ?

I've followed the instructions and input all the relevant html into a new .htm (and tried .php) document which I uploaded to my root but when viewing in a browser, all I see is a link to the freechatphp site ...... no sign of any chat room !

I know I've done something totally wrong here but ..... can you tell me what it is ?!!!

Without seeing your code it's pretty hard to tell. It's like calling a mechanic and saying the car wont start, what's wrong?
