make usernames a clickable link?

hello I've started using phpfreechat and think its great. but have a question.

I've integrated my user names database into the chat and it works great

i would like to make the usernames a hyperlink to their profile page. "so people can click on a link and be taken to that persons profile page"
not in the users list but in the actual messages box

which part of the code would i have to modify? and where is that code located please?

really all i need to know is where is the code located that formats the nick before its posted?

which part of the code adds the angle brackets at each end of the nickname?
