I tried changing logo but for some reason it didn't work. Instead of the new logo I just ended up with an image marker. In chat/login/settings.php I replaced the pfclogin.png (line 69) with my own image file name and I placed my png file in the login/img directory.

Try to see if there is any cache going on, test if you can reach the image , that variable hold a regular html code, so it should be working or wouldn't work if the image inst reachable.

hi, is it possible to make chat members sort by gender, i mean parexample man is blu icone girls pink or something like that, and on login script, when new members register, can they chose male of female? i tried to look around in forum, but didn't find anything about. Is it hard to do it? If anyone know how to do it, can you help me with that, please

Hi,

No there is a way to do it, without making some changes to phpfreechat script, you can chose in the login script but wont show up in phpfreechat unless you make some changes..

Hi,

I have installed this chat system so everyone that logs into my site will auto be logged into
the chat. Now the regular users are asking how they can save their settings !!! I just can't
win. LOL
Is there a way I can use this login system as a option after the auto login as guest that
my regular's will be known?

hi,

Can you elaborate, I cant follow you or lack of coffee... this login system is for people that doesn't want to use their CMS connected to the chat or lack a CMS system to use with the chat.

I successfully installed this script including the database. I can see the log-in page just fine, but when I log in, it doesn't bring me to my chat room? It brings me to a white screen that says - Index of /phpfreechat-1.4/PfcChatLoginSystem

What have I done wrong here?

Also, is the Pfc Chat Login folder supposed to be installed in my phpfreechat folder? Or is it placed outside of this folder in the main root?

Hi,

its installed inside the chat folder or whatever name you have for all the phpfreechat files and folders..

Inside the folder login there must be a php document that is going to be renamed to index.php and placed at the root of your chat folder....

the structure should look like:

data,
i18n,
lib,
login,
misc,
src,
style,
testcase,
themes,
then index.php <- where this one should have been changed for the version you found inside the login folder....

and some other unimportant files.

Thanks for the reply! So do I rename the index.phpfreechat file without any edits to the file itself? And then move it to the chat root folder? Won't this override the original chat index.php file with the replacement one?

right,

you need to drop the index.phpfreechat document and change it to index.php to the root of the chat, and effectively will overwrite the original one that comes with phpfreechat..

Ok, did all that , but I still get the same white screen that says - Index of /phpfreechat-1.4/PfcChatLoginSystem

And when I click on parent directory, I get the following error messages - Warning: require_once(./login/functions.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/monster/public_html/phpfreechat-1.4/index.php on line 3

hi,

take the login folder off PfcChatLoginSystem folder and drop it in the chat root folder... (my mistake should have stated it in instructions)

then overwrite index.php
