Hi All:
One of our users says he can't access phpFreeChat embedded in our phpBB forums from his new Windows 7 machine?

He gets a blank screen.

Anyone ever hear of this?

Ok - he says - he is able to enter exactly 1 message and it goes through

When he enters the 2nd one and hits enter - nothing happens - it just freezes

I doubt it has anything to do with his operating system. Plenty of our users have W7... it's not exactly new. ;)

What browser is he using... is it up to date?

Thanks a lot!

From the user:

"Windows 7 pro... Internet explorer

I can't seem to either stay in the chat or post to it. There are big delays on posts if they happen at all."

Hi Oldwolf:
Some more info from user - would this be impacting chat behavior?

"The only odd thing about my setup here is that I have one of those routers which has two internet feeds. Each computer is tied to that router and certain programs use one feed and others use the other feed. ...

That could in some way be related... we've had issues with IE, but nothing like this. Have him try a different browser to see if that's at all involved.

Thanks oldwolf!

He just responded with this now
"As I suspected the problem is at the office and probably resides within that dual internet router system or a firewall that is resident in the larger system that blocks port access."
