Allow only admins to post messages?

Hi all, posting here because I'm using the phpfreechat wordpress plugin (Thanks for the plugin!).

I've been reading around the site FAQ, Customization, etc.. looking for a way to make it so that only admins are able to post messages in the chat. Is this possible?

Also, as a side note, when I change the theme setting in the plugin settings, the appearance of the chat doesn't seem to change. Maybe a problem with directory structure?

No, not with the way pfc is currently coded, but you are welcome to make your own modifications.

As for the theme, did you you rehash?

You could try creating a "secret room" for admins to chat (name is something difficult like "admin123secretroom," or perhaps stick it on a WordPress page (i.e. /chat) that only WordPress admins are able to access (there are dozens of plugins for this.)

But if you want the admin messages to apear on the public chat what you will do for that ?

If you want only Administrators and Moderators to have permission to use PMs, set the appropriate options in the ACP > PERMISSIONS tab > Group permissions page.

If you want users and other groups to only be able to send to Administrators and Moderators, try setting their permission "can read private messages" to NO.
