pfc throwing up mod_rewrite error

Postby baldzius » Mon Apr 29, 2013 3:48 pm

Hey guys,

I hope you could help. I am trying to get pfc 2.1 up but can't pass this error:
mod_rewrite must be enabled server side and correctly configured. "RewriteBase" could be adjusted in server/.htaccess file.

server is apache22 behind nginx at address http://weareonthemoon.com/ . mod_rewrite seems to be working as I did several tests so maybe someone will have any ideas what's going on?
I've seen one user with same issue saying 1.6 works but 2.1 doesn't but no solution :/

Thanks,
Aldas

I did more tests and with full confidence can tell that mod_rewrite works perfectly. I still don't know if nginx as reverse proxy causes any issues as it's definitely not overwriting any rewrites on apache side. Could someone please explain how this sanity check is done so I could check maybe some variables doesn't get initiliazed? 1.6 works fine but would really like to get up 2.x up and running.
If it helps I am running on virtual machine (container) with local ip.

I am actually having the same problem. But before this happened, it was giving me the login field with code displaying under it. That was yesterday, today, the code disappeared but now its giving me the same error you are getting. To be honest I have no idea on how to even start looking into this. I know the mod_rewrite is on, but I don't know if it is configured properly.

Solved:
The session path was not set proper for my account in php.ini file at cgiManagement/PHPplus.bml . I set 'session.save_path' to the .../cgi-bin/tmp' which fixed the issue. I think the path might be different depending on where it is located.
