I'm thinking of incorporate the free chat into my site, and I currently have a very active phpbb. During my test run, most of the messages consist of "logged in" "logged out" because people will peek in to see who's currently chatting.

Someone had the idea of displaying a small window at the top of the forum that shows who's currently in the chatroom, next to a link to send people in. Is this possible with phpfreechat??

Thanks!!

Yes, it's possible, see the demo31 for an example :

Thank you much!!! I searched the forums, but didn't think about it being in the demos.

Great product!! I'm recommending to everyone.

After playing with this for a while, I cannot seem to get it working. There are two snippets of code on this page http://www.phpfreechat.net/demo/pfc-1.x ... online.php - one for config and one to display the window. I'm not sure how to incorporate them. At first, I created a file that just contained the 2nd snippet of code, but there isn't a place to designate where the info is pulled from. Not sure where I'm supposed to place the first snippet.

Any advice, or a link to a resource?

I looked at this, you need to make sure you generate a checksum for your chatID that's the same for the chat itself and when you check the users list.

It looks like that in earlier versions there was confustion between the Chat FILE and the Chat Title... be sure to use the same MD5 as was generated in your chatroom setup file.
