Beta 6 is slower than before

Hi, kerphi and all users...

I am currently using beta 6 with all its patches and it is fine, except one thing.

Sometimes it really slows down and when you send a message, it reaches 6 seconds later. Although i set refresh time 1 second.

And another thing is, when you disable smileys it's loading the .gif images. That's too bad for fast loading.

kerphi, is it too necessary to use check mode, i think it if we can reduce the codes working on load and on session, it'll become faster.

Setting the refresh_delay parameter to 1 second is not a good idea at all because if the client request takes more than 1 second it will acumulate lot of pending request which will slow the server and the client.

The idea about not loading the smileys is good, it would be a great improvement. Feel free to contribute because currently I don't have time to work on this problem.
Another idea is to report a bug in the sourceforge bug tracker in order to keep trace of this.
