Clearing old chat

I have this installed on a Wordpress site I am building for a client. They need to be able to start with a fresh clean chat each week. While testing css settings I had to do a lot of reloading so now there is a long list of admin log ends listed. I tried to /rehash and refresh I still get all the chat text. I tried closing out the page and waiting a few and going back and loging in from a different computer as a new user and when it opens it still shows the same chat text.
I went to the server wp/wp-content/plugins/phpfreechat/data/private and deleted the cache and waited then opened a browser and went to chat page on site and still the same thing. I need to be able to get rid of the chat text after each night.
I also tried /clear this clears the text but when the page is refreshed it comes back.

Clear is used only for the current user's display, it doesn't affect others, or the chat history.

ok I found that yesterday but I can not find the index.php file. I have a chat.php and a phpfreechat.php when I search in either file it says no max_msg found.
