Hello,
How do you clear a chat session? I've tried the /clear command but that seems to only clear it temporarily - when you refresh or view on a different browser all the messages are back again. I read about deleting cache files which I could do myself but I'm setting this up for a person with very limited computer skills. She could handle a command like /clear but logging in to ftp, locating and deleting the cache files is way beyond her. I also read about setting max_msg to 0 but we want to display the ongoing chat messges to new people who come in in the middle of a chat session. We just want to be able to clear out all the chat history periodically, i.e. at the end of a chat session.

She will be running a chat room for one hour each evening. The chat room then needs to be closed outside of the planned chat times. So that's my next question - is there an easy way to disable or turn off the chatroom?

So basically I want to be able to use Php Free Chat to run planned chat sessions and when the session is over, clear out the chat and disable until next session is started by the admin. Is this possible?

Sorry for my newbie questions, I did look through the forum but didn't find answers to what I'm looking for.

By the way, I'm using PFC via the WordPress plugin (frumph).

Thanks in advance
Aidan

For the first one, I think someone wrote a custom command that does this... you'll have to search through the forums to find it though.

For the second one, http://www.phpfreechat.net/parameters#islocked
