Trouble installing the program, any help? Thanks.

Hi guys

I was looking for a good ajax chat and after a lot of googling, I found this one. I have installed the chat as told in the install documentation, and wanted to be sure if I have done everything preoperly / if the chat is working, but found the following problems while testing.

1. It's not as fast as in the demo (well, its coming instantly at times, at times its taking longer, and once I have lost one post)

2. It has happened a few times that I post something once, but it gets displayed twice or thrice (as if I have posted the same sentence more than once)

3. It's not asking me for a user name (the alert box as in the demo) when I go to that page, but an arbitrary user name is given (guest 9, for ex.)

I was wondering if I've done any error while installing the application, or if it's notmal at this phase.

Wanted to thanks to the phpfreechat admins for providing such a wonderful application to people. Ah yes, the application is now installed in www.englishparis.com/phpfreechat-0.9/ and will replace my present chat www.englishparis.com/chat-english-chat.php once I see everything is working.

PS. I also wanted to know how many person can chat at one time with this application, is there a upper limit?

And, what happens if two chatters post two different messags at the same instance (moment), does one gets lost?

Could you try with the lastest release : 0.9.3-pre ? (it fixes a lot of problems since 0.9)

Try with 0.9.3-pre, I will release it soon, it's only new bug fixes.

Well, this is not as fast as the demo of phpfreechat site. Though at times it comes faster, at times it takes some time to appear. Besides, at times if I post one phrase, when it appears in the chat div, it appears several times, as if I have posted the same thing more than once.

Got any idea why it's happening in this way?

Chat slowness is related to your server slowness...
If you post something and receive it twice, it is a bug, however I can't reproduce it so it's difficulte to debug... if you find something to reproduce this bug, please keep me informed.
