I've installed v0.9.1 and v0.9.2. I've found that there is an IE display problem when I input Traditional Chinese or Simplified Chinese characters. The same problem happens to the Demo site. Here is the how to duplicate the problem:
1. Submit several lines of English strings until the chat area shows scroll bar on the right.
2. Submit one line of Traditional Chinese characters, like "測試", to the chat area.
3. Submit one line of any English string.

The chat area will disappear until you type in Chinese characters again. It's strange. This problem seems happen to the display content of chat is over the size of chat area, which shows scroll bar. You can input Chinese characters and English strings interchangeably to see what's happening.

Please help!

Unfortunatly, I'm unable to reproduce this bug.

Could you give me your IE version ?
Could you try your sequence just with copy/paste of the 測試 chinese characteres ? (I don't have chinese keyboard so maybe it's why I can't reproduce the bug).

keep me informed.

regards,

My IE version is 6.0 and I use copy and paste the testing Chinese characters into chat area. The sequence that I use, for example, while I logon:
test
test
test
test
測試
(at this time, my chat area is blank)
test
(at this time, my chat area comes back again)
測試
(at this time, my chat area is blank again)

This is very strange, I'm not able to reproduce the bug.
Did you test this problem on the official demo ? (edit : ... sorry I just saw you was on the channel currently)

It's strange. I tried both the installed version on my PC and the official Demo site to get the same problem on several PCs with Chinese OS. I'll try it on English Windows OS to see what happens and let you know. Thanks!

I've tried it on English Windows XP to have the same problem. If I change the height of the chat area to a smaller window like 300px, the problem happens right away but if I change the height to a larger size like 1000px, the problem happens later. My conclusion is once the chat area shows the vertical Windows scroll bar, then the problem shows up. Could you try it and see is there any solution?

Thanks!
