what is the correct timeout parameters?

i used this as default

$params["timeout"] = 20000;

but, if i have in active chatters, or they set in BRB mode. they leave their PC, and their nick will quit timeout.

how can i set the delay for this, so that user's dont quit for timeout even if they are in idle state.

By default the refresh_delay will change to 30000 (30 sec) after 10 minutes.
So if the timeout is 20000 the user will be disconnected after 10 minutes inactivity.
To avoid this, set the timeout to a higher value than the highest value in 'refresh_delay_steps', e.g.

$params["timeout"] = 31000;

Re the first message in this thread... Is there a "BRB mode"? I was looking for this as a feature - an "away" setting - but I didn't find one.

I have to amend what I said - I'm still having the timeout problem in phpFreeChat 1.2, with the increased timeout value (35000). Others have reported this, too.

In fact, the timeout problem is worst in v1.2. In 1.1, I sometimes got disconnected. Now I always get disconnected. It's maddening. What changed in 1.2 that would affect this?
