\"Chosen nickname is not allowed\" message appears

This may be a duplicate of an existing bug but I haven't found the same.

I've recently installed v1.1 and I take user login from my database to be used as nicks.
After I leave my own user in the chatroom for some time, I get
"Chosen nickname is not allowed"
and the admin user have been kicked out (timeout) of the room.

Let me know if more info is needed.

Addition, now it sometimes appends the message
"You must be connected to send a message"
instead.

Notably, the connection button cannot be click and anyway has a hint 'Disconnect' rather than 'Connect'
