i use the chat integrated in a site with login.

version 0.7 sufferd a buck. when going out of the chat and then back in it reported that the username already exists (is still the same person, so my shell give the same nick)

version 0.8 works correct in this respect.

version 0.9 gives again the problem by me.

is that just me?

i start with $params["nick"]=$name;

$name given from my login system(my community site).

if you leave the chat and 5 seconds later go back, you are told that the name already exists (IE) and you can choose another. I don't want that.

in firefox you just resume on your old name, witch is fine. but if you later logout and login so 20 seconds later it is called with a different name you still see the old one.

When you say "leave the chat" it means close the window ?

Because when the window is closed, the session is cleared and the old nickname is not killed since the timeout is not exceeded.
In 0.9.1, a new parameter will be usefull for your purpose : quit_on_closedwindow
Setting this to true will send a /quit command when the user close his window. So the old nickname will be completly killed. But this parameter doesn't work on firefox.

Unfortunatly, I didn't found a way to connect a callback to the close window event on firefox.
I someone know how to do that, the fix will be easy :)
