Hi,

I have max_msg = 0. Meaning I should see no history on join. But:

Say I have a user A that enters the chat at 2:00. He leaves again at 2:05.

Nothing happens from 2:05 - 04:00.

I then have user B that enters the chat at 04:00. User B will see a quit/timeout
message saying that user A left at 04:00. Which is wrong.

The expected would be for user B to see no message at all because max_msg is 0.

If max_msg was not 0 the expected would be for user B to see that A left at around time 2:05.

Both scenarios I guess can be solved by showing the last ping time from the user + the timeout value (20 sec default) in case of timeouts. And showing the actual quit time is case of quits.

It appears current implementation shows the current time - that is, the time when it finds out the user has quit/timeout (when B joins).

The annoying thing about this problem is of course, that each time I enter my (very inactive) chat - my best friend leaves in the same second :)
