Ninjaw's right, there shouldn't be anything to install. Do you just mean the index page is giving you errors?

If so, we'll need to know what the errors are so we can give you a hand. We could also use a link if you wouldn't mind.

Thanks,
OldWolf

The problem is the software can't write to the folder's it needs to, do you have a way to get write access?

Are you talking about a registration system, or just an "Enter your Username" and they type in a user name?

Well, put plainly, we do not have a registration system for this chat, at this point. That said, if a forum could be useful for you, just install phpbb, and use it's registration system and login with your chat.

Once phpbb is installed, you can tie the chat to it using the instructions found in the phpbb category here on our forums.

-----

If phpbb isn't something your interested in, I'm sure there are pleanty of other free solo registration/login systems that you could use the session nick name from to set the nick name for this chat. If you find one, and find out how to get the username from it, post that information here, and I can show you the final part (setting the username for the chatroom).
