I am kinda new to php but learning as I go..

I have a free online dating site at abmatch

anyway my problem is I need to load the chat within my existing script so I can use the member variables...

I notice this is done in the script using inlcude and require statements

but when I tried this the chat box loads in the site and fits nice and everything but none of the data is there... the user name is blank the room is blank and it doesnt ask for a name... I can click on the field to enter text but nothing I type shows up in the box if I click on a smiley the text code for that smiley shows up but wont send to the chat window....

if I run the same chat.php file without the include it works and promts you for a nickname... when I run it with the include it doesnt even ask and does not function... I was trying to use this method so I can make nick=member etc... Anyone who has done this type of integration please give me some pointers or examples to start with.... or another method possibly? I really dont want to try and send the member id through the browser address area I think to integrate it would be nicer....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
