admin rol stays for 1 or 2 minutes

hello
when i go to my chat page and identify as an admin (/identify *pass*)...the icon right next to my username changes to the admin icon...i know thats normal...
the thing is that if im inactive for 1 or 2 minutes, the icon changes back like if i was a normal user. i also lose all admin privileges and i have to run the "identify" command again...,
any ideas?
