Hi,

In 1.x the first private message is often (if not always?) lost.

The tab opens on the receivers side, but there is no message. The following/successive messages works fine.

Currently using revision 706 - but this problem has been there always.

Has anything been touched in the code between current rev. and 706, that might affect the problem described?

Is it safe to update to current svn rev? Will check if problem persists with latest version if it is safe to upgrade.

Thanks.

Here is the step I do when I try reproduce your bug :
1. open http://www.phpfreechat.net/demo.en.html in FF
2. open http://www.phpfreechat.net/demo.en.html in IE6 in order to have two users
3. in FF, click on the IE6 user icon in order to open the private chat window
4. write a message in FF
5. check that this message has been received in IE6

For me it works, I receive the first message.

Me too.

But in real-world it fails some of the time. Can not describe how to reproduce. Seems random - but common, and a show stopper.

I'm having this problem, too. It happens consistently on both my sites.
