you need to go into phpfreechat-x.x/themes/msn/smileys/theme.txt
and change the code next to

msn_cry.gif (cry)
for some reason the :') does not work
then /rehash and refresh the page and it will work

in the msn theme the crying smiley does not work
you need to go into phpfreechat-x.x/themes/msn/smileys/theme.txt

The apostrophe probably needs to be escaped... could you test :') for me and see if it works?
