It would be easier to simply set the parameters you want to be dynamic into the 'dyn_params' parameter: http://www.phpfreechat.net/parameters#dyn_params

that doesn't seem to help Old Wolf, as 'channels' is declared as a dynamic parameter by default, so all i'm asking is.. Is there a way for a user to join a different channel in the same login based on session variables dynamically? The problem now is that.. the user is directed to the channel he first logged on to even though the page session variables contain different variable values! Pls Help!

That's what I'm trying to answer. It is not by default dynamic, it's stored. The purpose of that parameter is to force the chat to read the parameter again on each update

dyn_params doesn't seem to help Old wolf, I have read almost all the topics on the forum and found that a few users are facing the same problem where they are unable to connect to a new channel because the old channel is getting cached and it forces the same user to join the channel first joined when he accesses the index page, even though the session variable set are different.. What could be wrong? I really need to get this right Old Wolf. Pls Help!

I'm honestly not sure... that's the purpose of that parameter.. and other than that I have no suggestions. Version 2.0 will hopefully be out soon, you might wait to try that.
