Big Time Error

Hello i have been using PFC version 1.2 for a while now and it always worked nicely until yesterday, Recently the server I'm on has upgraded the PHP 5 so now i am getting this error here below

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /home/fm/public_html/templates/src/phpfreechat.class.php on line 225

Is there any way to fix this problem without having to upgrade to the newer version of PFC ?

Try upgrading to the most up today version , see if that changes anything

Hello again , the new version will work so i heard but i was trying not to have to upgrade .

Yeah,

Changing all the deprecated instances , "doable" but would take you a bit depending how many times appears in the code..

hello again, can u type the exact code ?... what i would have to change , and what to replace it with and which files do i look inside.

I have a program that can search for a line of text and replace with another inside a single file or folder so it wont be too hard

I cant, that's why you need to upgrade or change the error reporting level in php.ini file..
