Chat not refreshing on page load

HELP!! I can't figure it out - why every new time that I log into the Chat that the log is still showing from previous sessions. Do I need to add code to do this? I already tried the chat command /clear which worked but then the next time I logged in the old session was back. How do I get it to not store the last session in the active chat window. Is it a timing that I need to set ? SOS!! i've been tryin to fix this for 2 days and am giving up. I hope to get this up and running by Monday
